Overview

Marga is a Hindu scripture reading and reflection app. The app supports daily shlokas, saved passages, notes, highlights, local reminders, widgets, and AI-assisted reflective guidance.

Data We Collect

Marga may store:

• Anonymous Supabase user ID and session identity.
• Display name, onboarding answers, and user preferences.
• Daily practice sessions, streak state, saved passages, notes, highlights, reading position, devotional/cache records, chat threads, chat messages, notification preferences, and subscription state records.
• Feature interaction records needed to operate and personalize the app.

Marga does not require email, phone, OAuth, or password sign-in for the launch app experience.

AI Processing

When AI-assisted guidance is used, Marga sends the user's prompt, reflection or chat context, selected scripture context, and request metadata to Marga's Supabase Edge Function. The Edge Function may send that content to the configured AI provider to generate a response. Provider credentials remain on the server and are not shipped in the app.

AI responses are for supportive reflection only. They are not religious, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

Notifications And Widgets

Marga uses local notification preferences to schedule reminders on the user's device. The Daily Shloka widget may read the user's scripture display-language preference through the app group shared with the main app.

Tracking

Marga does not use tracking for launch. Marga does not include advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking SDKs in the launch source.

Data Deletion

The launch app includes an in-app delete-data flow in Profile. This action deletes the current anonymous user's Marga records from the app's persistence repositories and disables notification preferences for that user.
